The law on personal data protection changed in the UK in May 2018, by the enactment of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

The Church Council of St Matthew's church is currently reviewing all the data we hold on people associated with the church  and its many activities. This is a large and complicated undertaking.

We have decided to do this on 'old fashioned'  paper, since  not all parishioners and others are 'on line'. Therefore we are writing to everyone concerned, enclosing a copy of our Data Privacy Notice and a Data Protection Consent Form. We ask that those who receive the Privacy Notice and Consent Form, return the Consent Form to one of the named individuals in the letter.

Copies of the Data Consent Form and our Data Privacy Notice can be downloaded by going to the web page 'GDPR Documents'.
